Saw the review in the NYT including the great picture and was thrilled to have had the experience of singing with you last year when we premiered your commissioned piece, Prayer of Humble Access, with the Memphis Chamber Choir. James, thank you for coming to Memphis to rehearse and conduct us and thank you for what you are doing for All Souls in New Orleans.

God Bless You!

That should have said that I *can't* think of another right now....

Thank you for sharing your heart with us this evening.

(The book I mentioned to you at the reception, with the lovely passages about singing, is How Green Was My Valley, by Richard Llewellyn.)

James,

It was so good to meet you tonight and to sing your music with you at the helm. I hope and pray we will sing it in a way tomorrow evening that communicates what you envisioned when you wrote it. ("Envisioned" isn't quite the right word for an aural experience, but I think of another right now....)

When I looked up your website I did not expect to find this....Thank you for sharing your thoughts here. I wonder if you have read Kay Jamison's "Touched by Fire." I highly recommend it.

So, now i have your website, and I'll get in touch with my friend Jay Walls, the composer I mentioned this evening. I just have a feeling that the two of you might connect, and looking around your website makes me think so even more.

Looking forward to tomorrow evening.

Blessings,

Sheila Vamplin
